>> Exclusive agent James C. Moylan has opened an Allstate Insurance Co. office in Waipahu. He was most recently general manager of an insurance company on Guam. The new office will offer auto, property, commercial and life insurance. 

>> Emily Bartlett-Henry has been named general manager of the first drive-through Starbucks Coffee store in Hawaii, slated to open in mid-April in Hilo. Bartlett-Henry has more than seven years of experience with Starbucks, most recently as a regional recruiter for its North American retail division. In Hilo, she is responsible for day-to-day store operations, hiring and training, inventory control, customer satisfaction and product standards. Coffee Partners Hawaii, an authorized licensee of Starbucks Coffee International, has 34 Starbucks stores in the state.

>> Summit Lending of Hawaii has hired Michele Ping as senior loan processor. She has more than 12 years of industry experience, most recently worked at Primary Residential Mortgage as a loan processor. Ping oversees a team of loan processors that is responsible for both wholesale and retail processing. Summit Lending is a locally owned and operated mortgage bank.

>> The Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii has named Suzy Churchill president for 2003. Other officers are: President-Elect Richard Marine, Century Computers; Vice President John Komeiji, Watanabe Ing Kawashima & Komeiji; Treasurer Robin Yoshimura, Doty Equities; and Secretary Crystal Rose, Bays Deaver Lung Rose & Baba. New board members are Chip Doyle, Blenn Fujimoto, Sydney Fernandez-Fasi, Anne Marie Beck, Michael Broderick and Nance Pace. The nonprofit Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii administers and operates five youth guidance clubhouses and two extensions with a membership of 6,000 youngsters from ages 7 to 17. It is part of a nationwide network of more than 3,100 clubs.
