Doting parents and relatives celebrating Girl's Day will be giving gifts of traditional Japanese dolls and mochi. But face it, you can't play with those, and you know girls just gotta have fun.

Macy's personal shoppers have come up with a list of nontraditional items for the little princess in your life.

For a new twist on the traditional doll giving, there is a Hello Kitty doll ($28) wearing a kimono and getas.

For a touch of fun, Roxy makes geta slippers ($24.95) with denim bands embroidered with flowers, and brand new is a flower shirt and short set from Barbie.

Cool gifts for preteens and teens include Stila's scented and flavored lip glaze ($24) in hot colors and flavors. The most popular flavors are watermelon, grapefruit and berry.

Or, how about a little Tommy Hilfiger hobo purse ($29) with Western shirt pocket details?
