Oceanic to release new DVR

Oceanic Time Warner Cable will make available digital video recorders to their customers, starting Saturday.

Oceanic will upgrade any current digital receiver in use to a DVR-enabled receiver for free, but the subsequent service is an additional $9.95 a month. With a touch of a button on the remote control, the DVR will automatically find and digitally record shows the customer chooses -- one episode or the entire season of a favorite TV series -- so they can be watched later at any time.
