"Greetings from the 50th State" -- That's the title of the fashion portfolio in the March issue of the men's magazine Esquire, now on bookshelves.

The 10-page spread by photographer Ben Watts features various local celebrities and athletes modeling the latest silk shirts and summer trouser-and-suit ensembles.

North Shore surfer Kala Alexander (who had a bit part in the movie "Blue Crush") is shown wearing a cotton and linen shirt by Giorgio Armani draped over his sculpted, tattooed torso.

Another photo features three unidentified surfers in designs by Gucci and Calvin Klein in the bedroom of the Liljestrand house on Tantalus Drive.

The Keaulana men -- Buffalo with his sons Brian and Russ -- are also featured, as well as surfer and model Malia Jones, Triple Crown winner Myles Padaca, musicians Henry Kapono and Makana, world-class body surfer Mark Cunningham, custom board maker Charlie Walker, lifeguard Mel Puu and actors Jason Scott Lee and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa.
