Waipahu High School students took part yesterday in a regatta of hydroplanes that they built and raced in a special on-campus moat. The race was part of a lesson on hydrodynamics and aerodynamics. Adrian Tauai built and raced Original Hamo, the winning hydroplane in the second race of the day.
