A seminar covering the basics of how to start and finance a home construction project will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sam Choy's Diamond Head Restaurant at 449 Kapahulu Ave.

Speakers include Homeworks Construction specialist Mike Mudgett; Homeworks kitchen designer Marshall Hickox; architects Kiyoshi Toi and Todd Nordstrom; Al Lum, of Viking Appliances; Mark Mason, of Pacific Source Building Supply; Heather Hickox, of Artisan Paint & Coatings; Dan Georgia, of Century 21 All Islands; and American Savings Bank home improvement lender Derek Cheng.

One-on-one consultations will be held after the workshop.
