TCU’s Meyer leads
by 2 at Waikoloa

Adam Meyer of TCU fired his second consecutive round in the 60s after he carded a 68 yesterday to grab the lead at 7-under 135 in the Taylor Made/Waikoloa Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at the Waikoloa Kings' and Beach courses.

Meyer holds a two stroke lead going into today's final round, which will be played on the Kings' Course.

Two shots behind Meyer are Oklahoma's John Kidwell, Arkansas' Andrew Dahl, Fresno State's Nick Watney, TCU's Adam Rubinson, Baylor's Ryan Baca and Texas Tech's Mark Hull.

Topping the list of golfers from Hawaii or with ties to the islands are UH's Eric Chang, Nevada's Casey Watabu and Stanford's Jim Seki (punahou) at 172.

In the team competition, UCLA is in first with a 14-under 554.

TCU is one shot back, followed by Arkansas (558), Houston, Oklahoma, Lamar and Texas Tech (562).

Hawaii is at 578 and host Hawaii-Hilo at 587.
