We warned you this day was coming up. Here's your last chance to treat your loved one to romance with all the frills tonight, but don't be surprised if events are sold out.

Romantic dinners

Bali By the Sea: Chef Roberto Los Banos' menu includes filet mignon and lobster en croute, ahi tempura, three-way duck and more, at $68 per person; $33 for children ages 4 to 11. Served 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Call 949-4321, Ext. 29.

Banyan Veranda: Baked lobster tail with shrimps, scallops and clams, herb-crusted snapper with wine sauce and more will be offered from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider, with entertainment by Ginny Tiu and Johnny Valentine. The cost is $48 per person. Call 922-3111.

The Beachside Café: Casual dinner will include a seafood appetizer bar, prime rib, snow crab legs, snapper and more, at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider; 5 to 9:30 p.m. Costs $29.95 per person. Call 922-3111.

Chez Michel: Grilled rack of lamb, $41.95; seared sea scallops, $39.95; tournedos rosini, $43.95; seafood platter with lobster, oysters, scallops and prawns, $49.95; lobster imperial, $44.95; oven roasted duck, $41.95; veal osso bucco, $42.95; rib eye and spicy tiger prawns, $39.95. Indigo: Romantic menu starts with General Yang's Secret Chamber Potion, a concoction full of stimulating herbs and aphrodisiacs such as ginseng, deer horn shavings, angelica and honey. This is followed by a choice of hot or cold appetizers and entree choices of char-grilled lemongrass shrimp, thyme-famed ocean-raiseed moi or double-cut lamb chops with galangal-infused sauce. Then cap the evening with a "Chocolate Cloud of Desire on a Bed" dessert. The cost is $50 per person ($65 with champagne or wine), with service from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Call 521-2900.

La Mer: A special Valentine's menu awaits Feb. 14 through 16 at Halekulani's AAA five diamond restaurant. By light of a full moon, enjoy sautéed foie gras on crispy potato pancake garnished with artichokes and served with truffle coulis, a timbale of scallops on a bed of risotto accented with Osetra caviar, two sauteed beef tournedos flavored with pinot noir shallot sauce, champagne sorbet and for dessert, a seductive Gianduja chocolate heart with scarlet orange ice cream and berry compote. The price is $90 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Call 923-2311.

Orchids: Halekulani's popular oceanside, open-air restaurant will start its Valentine's Day menu Feb. 14 to 16 with a salad of baby lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes and marinated fennel, or poached oysters and caviar butter; followed by broiled beef tenderloin with truffled spinach pasta and shimeji mushrooms, or sauteed fish with a ragout of lump crab meat, haricots verts and a light lime and chervil butter; and finish with a dessert of dark chocolate mousse and raspberries to put you in the mood for love, at $55 per person. Pikake Terrace: Chef John Hightower presents a lobster and prime rib with crab legs, seafood potpourri, clams and mussels at Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. Entertainment by Ilona Irvine and the Star Keikis. Dinner 5:30 to 10 p.m., at $32.50 per person, $12.50 for children. Call 922-5811.

Sergio's: Menu at this Hilton Hawaiian Village restaurant features oysters Rockefeller, tomato basil soup, filet of beef wrapped in apple smoked bacon and topped with dungeness crab and cherry chocolate torte. The cost is $110; $150 with wine per couple. Call 949-4321, Ext. 29.

Ship's Tavern: Enjoy an appetizer trio of crab cake, ahi tempura and smoked salmon on a potato pancake; choice of petite filet mignon or Maine lobster and Grand Marnier strawberry mousse cake. Served 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider; $65 per person. Call 922-3111.

"Around the World": Hilton Hawaiian Village offers a room, in-house massage from Mandara Spa and a three-course dinner starting at $405 per couple. Call 947-7888.

Frank DeLima show: The Palace Showroom in the Ohana Reef Towers will be open for a buffet dinner from 7 p.m., with a menu that includes prime rib, mahimahi tempura, boneless teriyaki chicken and more; at $39.95 for adults and $19.50 for children. Cocktail seatings are at 8 and 8:30 p.m., for $22. Call 923-SHOW or 922-6408.

Local Kine Valentine: Bruddah Sam and Lina Girl from the popular local TV show "Local Kine Grindz," and Davey D. from the radio and TV shows "Overdrive Live," will host a lavish buffet at the Ko'olau Golf Club beginning with no-host cocktails at 6:30 p.m., dinner from 7 to 9 p.m., and entertainment all night long, featuring Na Palapalai, Aziel, DisGuise, Heart & Soul, Kohomua, Believe, and Hi-Risk. On the menu will be prime rib, Alaskan snow crab, Thai barbecue chicken, and Ko'olau's famous bread pudding. There will also be free flowers from Watanabe Floral, a free souvenir photo and opportunity to win photo packages, neighbor island and Las Vegas trips. Love Fest: A Hot Valentine's Party: Chocolates, flirtation, love potions, exotic hor d'oeuvres, plus music by Tradewinds, guest DJ Figaro from Bulgaria, and more will be featured at the Royal Garden Hotel, 440 Olohana St., 7:30 p.m. to midnight today. Cover is $10. Call 943-0202.

"The Man in the Moon is a Lady, and Other Love Songs": Vocalist Puanani Higgins performs at noon today at Na Mea Hawaii, at 851 Fort Mall at Merchant. Free.

Mystery dinner show: The evening at Dave and Buster's includes hors d'oevres, a three-course meal and a three-act play, "Competition is Murder." Each couple will receive champagne, a long-stem rose and a VIP Power Card. The first course will be served at 6:45 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. today. Star of Honolulu cruise: Enjoy beautiful sunset views and Honolulu city lights as you sail to Diamond Head. For all of February, the Couple's Plan is $24 and includes a bottle of champagne, window seating and a souvenir photo, available with any dinner cruise. Dinner prices vary. "Valentine's Day at Koko Marina": Enjoy sizzling salsa performances, moonlit boat rides, ballroom dance lessons and more, 5 to 7 p.m. today.

"Zoorotica": Honolulu Zoo turns out to be the wildest place in Waikiki as guests learn about the mating rituals of animal inhabitants and enjoy "zoorotic" stories on a two-hour moonlight tour that includes chocolates and a glass of champagne. After the tour, cuddle up around desserts and gourmet coffees while you are serenaded under the stars. Tours depart every half hour beginning 5:30 p.m., with the last tour starting at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $30 per person or $55 per couple for the adults-only event. Call 926-3191.
