Ruth's runs benefit for sex abuse
Ruth's Chris Steak House in Restaurant Row is hosting the fifth "It's Not Your Fault" benefit lunch for the Sex Abuse Treatment Center, 11 a.m. Feb. 27.Featured will be a buffet menu and a program, "Healing Hearts, Building Futures," focusing on counseling services provided by the center.
Tickets are $40, with tables for four to 10 available. Call Angela Smith, 535-7613.
More than $20,000 was raised by this fund-raiser in previous years.
Aphrodisiacs' delight
Hoku's at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental hotel is offering a month's worth of "Aphrodisiacs Menus" -- and the name pretty much says it all.The special dinners feature ingredients believed to induce romance, or at least raunchiness.
Through tonight, the menu focuses on oysters and caviar. Beginning tomorrow, the week's specials include day boat scallops with white asparagus, butter-poached lobster and wok-fried slipper lobster. The week beginning Feb. 17 features pan-seared Wagyu beef in the form of steaks or tartare and grilled scallops. From Feb. 24 to 28, the restaurant will feature "The Crescendo," with highlights from all the month's menus. Call 739-8844.

Indigo Wine Club: Valentine's wines will be featured at the weekly tasting session, "The Wrath of Grapes," 6 p.m. Tuesday at Indigo Eurasian Cuisine. Cost is $20, which includes light pupus.
