3 teams tied for final
West playoff spot

Aiea beat Waipahu in a must-win game last night in the Oahu Interscholastic Association -- leaving three teams tied at 4-6 in the Western Division, with only one spot available for the OIA playoffs.

Aiea, Waipahu and Campbell -- which lost to Mililani -- all end their regular season with the same records.

Kapolei clinched the fifth spot in the West by beating Waialua.

The West teams to qualify for the playoffs are Radford, Pearl City, Leilehua, Mililani and Kapolei.

The six playoff teams from the East were already determined heading into last night's action.

The six teams from the East heading to the playoffs are Roosevelt, Kaimuki, Castle, Moanalua, Kalaheo and Kahuku.

OIA West

Mililani 58, Campbell 45

Brandyn Fidel scored 15 points as the Trojans took control in the second quarter to end the Sabers' hopes of qualifying for the OIA tournament.

Aaron Kanno led Mililani's defensive efforts with seven steals. The Trojans had 21 steals in the game.
