Scholarships available for culinary students

Y. Hata & Co. is offering eight scholarships to students at Kapiolani Community College, Leeward Community College, Hilo Community College and Maui Community College.

Awards of $1,000 each are available to students who will be in their final year of study in September, in fields of hotel or restaurant management, culinary arts or food service. Applications are available through the individual schools.

Y. Hata, a food-service company, is offering the scholarships in honor of its 100th year of business operation, in cooperation with its marketing partners.
