Borders Books in Ward Centre hosted a performance of Korean folk dances by Aiea Korean Cultural School students yesterday. Christine Cheu was among the students who performed.

Members of the Fili- piniana Dance Company performed the tinikling, a traditional Filipino bamboo dance, during the Caregiver's Expo '03 at the Filipino Community Center in Waipahu. Dance company members Tanya Ranchez, left, Vanessa Barangan, Juliet Shimabukuro and Brandon Sagaysay worked the bamboo for the dancers.
