Kalaheo in playoffs

Kapolei advanced to the Oahu Interscholastic Association boys soccer quarterfinals last night with an opening-round 2-1 victory over Kalaheo at Campbell High School last night.

Rhys Kita and Brandon Pieper scored for the Hurricanes, while Sean Arthur notched the Mustangs' lone goal.

Kapolei moves on to play host Mililani in the quarterfinals tonight at 7.

Roosevelt 4, Waianae 1: Holden Lau scored three goals for theRough Riders in the convincing victory.

Justin Uyehara also scored for Roosevelt, while Eddie May fired in the Seariders' lone goal.

The Rough Riders visit Kaiser for a quarterfinal game against the host Cougars tonight at 7.

Moanalua 2, Leilehua 1: Aaron Miura and Winston Yee found the net for the Menehunes, while Sam Fancher drilled home the Mules' only goal.

The Menehunes advanced to tonight's quarters against Pearl City at 5:15 at Kaiser.

Campbell 3, Kahuku 0: Shauncey Blaine Saito scored two goals and Rocky Otsuka added one for the Sabers.

Campbell advances to tonight's quarters against Castle at 5:15 at Mililani.
