JASON ELAM TAKES AIM WITH PEN

Jason Elam, former University of Hawaii standout and Denver Broncos place kicker, autographed T-shirts and ran a touch football game yesterday at Vidinha Stadium on Kauai to the delight of about 200 schoolchildren. Eight Pro Bowl players conducted a series of clinics this week on Kauai, Maui, the Big Island and today on Oahu. Retired Miami Dolphins receiver Nat Moore has run the clinics for the past 16 years in conjunction with the Super Bowl. This is the first year they were added to the Pro Bowl agenda.

Groundhog Job Shadow Day "shadow" Elias Nakahara, a junior at Kaimuki High School, waited in the wings yesterday as his mentor, Gov. Linda Lingle, and Lt. Gov. James "Duke" Aiona honored Saint Louis football coach Delbert Tengan during an afternoon of proclamations in the governor's office. Nearly 1,000 Hawaii students shadowed professionals yesterday.
