Pro Bowl players
are here to party

PRO WRESTLING isn't the only form of sports entertainment out there, you know -- the National Football League's top performers are in town for the Pro Bowl this weekend, and the festivities that surround Sunday's game have already started.

Last night at Zanzabar, Buffalo Bills players Ruben Brown, Travis Henry and Eric Moulds hosted the "Allstar Pro-VIP Kickoff Party" with Hot Lava Entertainment. Tonight's pro party takes place at the Ocean Club, where Tony Gonzalez and Warren Moon play host at "Paddler's Night" starting at 9 p.m. ...

THE "Topps NFL Experience" also kicks off today when UH mascot Vili the Warrior officially opens the 100,000-square-foot "football amusement park" at Fort DeRussy. $5 gets you in from noon to 8 p.m. today, noon to 10 p.m. tomorrow, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

While you're there, get your game on in the "Playstation2 Pro Bowl Pavilion" and enter to win a new Cadillac, tickets to Sunday's game or a trip to next year's Super Bowl. There'll also be live entertainment tomorrow and Saturday night during "Friday Night at the Experience" and the "Pro Bowl Pre-Game Jam," respectively ...

ALOHA TOWER MARKETPLACE plays host tomorrow night to the "Pro Bowl Block Party" from 5:30 p.m. to midnight at various locations. Check out the center atrium from 6 to 10 p.m. for autographs from NFL cheerleaders and mascots; or head over to Pier 9 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. for autographs from select NFL players. Henry Kapono and Jook Joint will perform at Kapono's, and MTV's DJ Skribble takes the stage at ATM's Boat Days Bazaar starting at 10 p.m. ...

ON SATURDAY the party heads to the Hard Rock Cafe for "Rock Hard Saturdays" with Motherfather Productions. Doors open at 10 p.m. for the 18-and-over crowd, and don't be surprised if 1043 XME's Hawaiian Ryan shows up with national recording artist Blu Cantrell sometime after midnight. The midday jock will host Saturday's concert at Fort DeRussy (see above), which features Cantrell with Ten Feet and Natural Vibrations. Local singer Aziel should be over at Hard Rock as well ...

FINISH UP a busy weekend Sunday night with the "2003 Superstar Celebrity Players Party" at Pipeline Cafe, starting at 9 p.m. Rick Rock and 102.7 Da Bomb are teaming up to bring out DJ E-Man from Power 106 in Los Angeles and DJ Mista Nice from Hot 97 in New York City, so get ready to call in sick on Monday -- this should be a good one ...
