Cookie recipes sought for Valentine's Day

The prizes in Kakaako Kitchen's cookie contest will warm the tummy and the heart: The winner gets gift certificates for 24 plate lunches and the knowledge that 12 dozen grand-prize cookies will be delivered to Queen's Hospital as a Valentine's Day treat for patients.

Recipes should be original. Any type of cookie is allowed (doesn't have to be Valentine's themed). Drop off recipes at Kakaako Kitchen in Ward Centre, or fax to 596-9114, by Saturday. Finalists will need to deliver a baker's dozen of their cookies to the restaurant for judging on Feb. 8.
