This dish was prepared by Sam Arakit and Joel Rosario of Kuhio Grille on "Hawaii's Kitchen" this week, a rebroadcast of a show originally aired on Aug. 18. "Hawaii's Kitchen" airs at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on KHON/Fox.

One Pound Laulau

8 ounces taro leaves
4 ounces beef, cubed
2 ounces pork butt
1 ounce salted fish
Dash Hawaiian salt
Ti leaves

Stack taro leaves. Place meat and fish in center. Sprinkle with salt. Wrap leaves around meat, then wrap ti leaves around the bundle. Tie with string. Steam for 3 to 3-1/2 hours.
