Super Bowl entertainment

This year's Super Bowl halftime entertainment was a heckuva lot better than the previous weird hybrid of Aerosmith-*N Sync-Britney Spears of '01 -- although I must admit I'm not a fan of Shania Twain's. Even though the entire thing is one big commercial contrivance, I found her portion of the show more so, all carefully packaged flash and performed over a pre-recorded track.

At least No Doubt performed live on "Just a Girl" and did yeoman duty backing Sting on an energetic "Message in a Bottle." Sorry, Shania, you got nothing over Gwen Stefani!
