Reggae tour

Ky-mani Marley and Inner Circle headline the Budweiser True Music Super Stars of Reggae Tour stop in Hawaii next month. Tickets are on sale now for the interisland tour shows at the Waikiki Shell on Feb. 21, the Edith Kanaka'ole Stadium in Hilo on Feb. 22 and the Kukui Grove Park on Kauai on Feb. 23. Teen board sought

Eighteen teens are needed to serve on the 2003 Windward Mall Teen Board.

Teen Board members will participate in community service projects, fashion shows, children's activities, career shadowing and more.

Applicants must be between ages 12 and 17 and reside on the Windward side. They must maintain a grade-point average of 2.5 or greater, demonstrate commitment to volunteerism and be willing to commit 10 hours each month to the program.

Applications are available at the Windward Mall Customer Service Center near the escalator. The deadline is Friday. New members will be notified in February.

Bla Pahinui to perform

Tickets are on sale for February shows featuring Bla Pahinui and mainland guest Rick Shea.

Pahinui will preview songs from his upcoming Mountain Apple album "Guava Soul," which reportedly has a predominant R&B sound.

Shea, a member of the rootsy California country scene, is known for his guitar work as a member of the Blasters, Dave Alvin's band.

Both will be backed by the Blue Mango Band, which includes local blues-jazz guitarist Chris Planas.

The two shows will be at 8 p.m. Valentine's Day at the Pikake Pavilion of Waimea Falls Park and 9 p.m. the following day, Feb. 15, at Anna Bannanas. Tickets are $20, available at both venues, plus Tower Records locations and Flavormania Ice Cream in Haleiwa. Call 638-8511 or 946-5190 for more information.

Boy Choir holds tryout

The Honolulu Boy Choir will hold open auditions for boys ages 7 to 12 on Saturday at Harris United Methodist Church, 20 S. Vineyard Blvd.

No musical experience is necessary, only the ability to match pitch, a desire to perform and an expressive face. Participants gain musical knowledge, poise, confidence and self-discipline.

Auditions are by appointment only. Call 596-SING (7464).

Scholarship available

Cottey College in Nevada, Mo., is offering a $5,000 Hawaii Cottey College Scholarship to female high school graduates, through the P.E.O. Foundation.
