Crispiniano Buendia Benitez, 89, of Honolulu, a retired Island Nursing Home janitor, died Jan. 9 in St. Francis-West Medical Center. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by son Jose; daughters Lilia Gray, Norma Pascual, Teresa Balancio and Marilou Paet; sisters Sister Teresa Benitez and Demetria Padilla; brother Arnulfo; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. James "Jimmy" Wesley Crisp, 55, of Honolulu, died Jan. 11 at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Sandy; son Justin; daughters Joele Hashimoto, Chanel Crisp and Mika Ane; brother Billy; sister Phyllis Rieve; and four grandchildren. Private services.

James "Jim" Everett Davids, 52, of Honolulu, a retired U.S. Navy dentist, died Dec. 30 at home. He was born in Baltimore. He is survived by wife Karen Scharff-Davids, daughter Emily A. and sisters Barbara Davids and Sandra Crone. Graveside services: 3 p.m. Friday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Herman P. Faria Jr., 66, of Kailua, died Jan. 12 in Kailua. He is also survived by wife Rose Marie. The mortuary provided additional information for an obituary published yesterday.

Beatrice Shimae Hirota, 79, of Honolulu, a Hirota Florist owner, died Jan. 6 in St. Francis Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by sons Francis V. and Robert C. Sherod, brothers Richard M. and Ernest Y. Maeda, sisters Helen T. Marques and Patsy T. Kashiwamura, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sarah Iwalani Hauoli Larinaga, 56, of Waianae, died Friday in Waianae. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by sons David "AWO" Hauoli, Mandy Gallardo and Tilson Kekua; daughters Marilyn "Tingie" Gallardo, Georgia Larinaga, Katie Kekoa, Pohai Funderburg, Jennifer Hauoli, Melissa Stephenson and Maddalyn Ashton; brothers John Ambrose and Samuel Hauoli; sisters Esther Uta, Winona Yamamoto, Martha Ramsey and Cathy "Cats" Melandez; and 25 grandchildren. Elaine Yuke Lin Lee, 81, of Honolulu, a retired Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard secretary, died last Monday in Oahu Care Facility. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by husband George Oy, sons Ralph and Fenton, daughter Mary Tsukuda, brothers Samuel and Walter Wong, sisters Lena Takayama and Irene Ing, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Timothy Joseph Lyons, 77, of Hilo, a retired irrigation superintendent for the former Oahu Sugar Co. and Olokeli Sugar Co., died Tuesday at home. He also was a retired harvesting supervisor for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co. and Mauna Kea Sugar Co. He was born in Chicopee, Mass. He is survived by wife Mary; sons Timothy J., Raymond J., Michael F., Sean K., Eugene J. and David C.; daughters Mary C. Pantohan and Kittrick A. Mildred "Millie" Mitsuko Nuibe, 80, of Mililani, a Mililani Town Association accounting clerk and a retired accountant for Matsumoto Certified Public Accountant, died Wednesday in Wahiawa General Hospital.
