Kapaa High School

Kapaa High School has many outstanding academic achievers. Here, we will look at a senior who, I believe, is a prime example of Kapaa's three outstanding traits: respect, responsibility and cooperation.

Hope Rabang has inspired me to smile at new people I meet and laugh at life instead of wasting it by being upset and sad.

Hope's most cherished possession is the friendships she has made throughout her life. She plans to go to Oregon State University and become a veterinarian when she is finished studying for two years at Kauai Community College.

Hope admits she is sad to be leaving her lifelong friendships and her li hing mui lemons, but is ecstatic about the new people and enterprises that she will meet in the future.

I have never met a person more caring, intelligent and happy. I am blessed to call Hope my friend and honored to present her as one of Kapaa's senior spotlights.
