Sorenstam to play on Maui

Annika Sorenstam, who earlier this year became the first woman to go over $11 million in career earnings, headlines the four-player field for the $600,000 LPGA Skins Game next month on Maui.

Sorenstam will be joined by Karrie Webb, Laura Davies and Laura Diaz at the season-opening event Jan. 26 at the Wailea Resort.

The event will be televised on ESPN2 on July 1-2.

Sorenstam, who this month was named LPGA Tour Player of the Year by the Golf Writers Association of America, had one of the best seasons in women's golf in nearly 40 years, winning 13 times around the world.

She set or tied 20 records, including the season scoring average, and finished the year with earnings of $2.9 million.
