Isles star in Cool J video

HAVE YOU SPOTTED the latest music video to feature the beauty of our islands on television yet? Hip-hop superstar LL Cool J spent two days on Maui last month filming the video for "Paradise," the second single off his latest album, "10."

Directed by Bennie Boom and featuring the sultry voice of Amerie, "Paradise" follows the theme of movies like "Blue Lagoon" and "The Beach." Entertainment was provided by Cruisin', 9 o'clock and the Star-Bulletin's own Chris Dudley. An authentic Dragon Garden bonsai tree and a stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village were also given away ...

TICKETS ARE STILL available for the Nate Jackson fund-raiser this week. "A Flyin' Hawaiian Christmas" takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sheraton-Waikiki's Hawaii Ballroom. KITV's Robert Kekaula will host the concert, with local recording artists Ernie Cruz, Amy Hanaiali'i Gilliom, Henry Kapono, Sean Na'auao, Reign and others scheduled to perform. Tickets are $25; call 922-4422 for more info ...
