Kenny's Burgerhouse, in the Kamehameha Shopping Center across from Kam Bowl in Kalihi, closed its doors for the last time yesterday afternoon. Manager Roselani Ramones mopped the sidewalk fronting the restaurant. Ramones was an employee for 35 years. The restaurant will be replaced with a McDonald's.

These children had to be held back yesterday as they watched a game being played at the Philippine Consulate General as part of "Pamasong Handog," a cultural Christmas celebration. The two girls in front are Lecia Ramirez, 6, and Renalyn Gascon, 7.

The Good Neighbor Store, a project giving children an opportunity to buy Christmas gifts for parents for a penny, was open yesterday at Kaiulani Elementary School in Kalihi. Likelike Elementary teacher Amy Loo wrapped presents purchased by Likelike student Shastene Maave-Sefo.

Peer Education students from Kalani High School waved signs on Friday along Kalanianaole Highway to remind motorists about the hazards of drinking and driving during the holidays.
