Special events

Twelve Days of Christmas: Beachside Cafe, Sheraton Moana Surfrider, offers a holiday buffet, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Dec. 24. Salads and seafood are on the menu, along with turkey and fixings. Cost is $19.95. Call 922-3111.

Guenoc Wine Dinner: Four-course menu paired to the California wines of Guenoc Winery, 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Padovani's Restaurant. Cost is $65. Call 946-3456.

KHVH Radio Holiday Party: Mike Buck hosts a live radio show from Sergio's in the Hilton Hawaiian Village, 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Food and wine will be served, including poached jumbo prawns wrapped in prosciutto, herb-crusted prime rib, gnocchi in lemon-sage-butter sauce, braised lamb shanks, pork tenderloin medallions and confit of duck leg. "LUMA" dinner package: An opening-night package for "LUMA: Theatre of Light" includes dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House, 5 p.m. Thursday. The menu includes Caesar salad and entree choice of filet, rib eye, New York strip, broiled chicken or fresh fish. "Nutcracker" gala: Ballet Hawaii's opening-night pre-show dinner includes food by Sam Choy's, 3660 on the Rise, Chai's Island Bistro, Nalo Farms, Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar, Kakaako Kitchen, Chart House, L'Uraku Restaurant, Side Street Inn, Mariposa, Indigo, Hoku's and Superb Sushi; 6:30 p.m. Friday on the Blaisdell Concert Hall lanai. Indigo: Four-course meal includes choice of appetizer, salad and dessert, centering on an entrée choice of roast duck breast, seared scallops, beef filet wrapped in pancetta or seared moi. Cost is $50. Call 521-2900.
