ASSOCIATED PRESS U.S. Army Capt. Steven Janko, from Honolulu, distributed notebooks and other school supplies to children Saturday in Hayan Garan village in Afghanistan. Afghans have been returning to their homes with a feeling of security as the U.S. military steps up its humanitarian aid and reconstruction projects.
