Anne deArce Arnald, 93, of San Francisco, died Nov. 22 in San Francisco. She was born in Hawaii. She is survived by sisters Ramona deArce and Helena Bailey. Committal services: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.

Alejandro Garces Cabaong, 79, of Kaunakakai, died Nov. 27 in Molokai General Hospital. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Felipa and daughters Shirley Kudrich, Nena Bali and Marilyn Moyers-Cabaong. Visitation: 6-9 p.m. today at St. Sophia Catholic Church. Mass: 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the church. Call after 8 a.m. Burial to follow at Kapaakea Cemetery in Kapaakea, Molokai.

Warren H. Deal, 86, of Kalaoa, Hawaii, a retired Graphic Arts Publishing Co. chairman and chief executive officer and a retired LDV Investment chairman in Portland, Ore., died Monday at home. He also was a former Printing Industry of America president. He was born in Hornbrook, Calif. He is survived by sons Allan F. and Larry, daughters Merrily Cowgill and Kathleen Deal, caregivers Lisa and Mike Stearns, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services to be held in Oregon.

Toshio "Baron" Ebesugawa, 89, of Hilo, a retired general manager for the former Ebesu's Ltd., died Sunday in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by sons Baron "Jr.," Cary, Duane and John; daughter Mary Nishi; sisters Tsuyako "Nappie" Ebesugawa, Kiyoko "Kay" Ushijima, Setsuko "Sets" Kobayashi, Nobuko "Ann" Kaya, Satsuki "Sachi" Ebesugawa and Ruby M. Maruyama; and four grandchildren. Services: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Dodo Mortuary in Hilo. Call after 5 p.m. Casual attire.

Mary Chickering Erdman, 97, of McMinnville, Ore., formerly of Honolulu, a landscaper adviser, died Nov. 18 at home. She was born in San Francisco. She is survived by daughter Louise E. Larsen, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Celebration of life to be held next month in Hawaii. Donations suggested to Pacific Botanical Garden.

Elsie Souza Escalera, 85, of Honolulu, a retired St. Patrick's School teacher, died Sunday. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by daughter Jean Freitas, sister Lillian DeRego, caregiver Jan Black, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mass: 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Francis Iwao Hirakawa, 75, of Honolulu, a retired community and government affairs director for the former GTE Hawaiian Tel, died Nov. 20 at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Haruko F., daughter Lisa N., brother Howard I. and sister Haru H. Mahelona. Private services.

Agnes Abbie Kalei King, 77, of Hilo, a retired cook for the former Seven Seas Restaurant, died Monday at home. She was born in Honuapo, Hawaii. She is survived by daughters Bertha L.P. Kanae and Quincie H. Martines; brothers Raymond, Sebastian and Jack Mokiao; sisters Lei Yoshioka, Cecelia Mokiao and Stacy Elfering; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Pitoau Lopa, 82, of Aiea, a U.S. Navy Fitafita guard, died Nov. 23. He was born in American Samoa.
