Fleck in concert
Tickets are now on sale for Bela Fleck & The Flecktones' concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Hawaii Ballroom of the Sheraton Waikiki. While Fleck first made his name as a fine bluegrass banjoist, he's since broadened his sound palette with his band to include jazz, classical and world music. Jake Shimabukuro counts himself as an avid fan of Fleck's, so much so that he'll be opening for his concert. Tickets are $35 (it'll be 5 bucks more at the door), available at the hotel and all Ticket Plus outlets. For more info, call 922-4422 and ask for the hotel's entertainment desk.
