Dinner with wine

The wines of Veuve Clicquot and Cerretto will be featured in a four-course dinner at Sergio's at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 4.

Dinner begins with a reception with Veuve Clicquot champagne and crostini topped with smoked salmon mousse, crème fraîche and tobiko caviar. Executive chef Matthew Johnson's menu includes an appetizer of shrimp-scallion risotto with broiled lobster (with Cerretto Arneis Blange), entree of pork tenderloins in porcini mushroom sauce (with 1998 Cerretto Barolo Brunate), cheese course (with 1996 Barbaresco Asij) and dessert of poached pear and caramel custard (with moscato).

Michael Hutchinson, West Coast director of wines for Clicquot, will present the wines for each course.

Martinis at Morton's

Morton's Steakhouse Honolulu is marking the holidays with "Mortini Nights" -- $3 martini specials along with complimentary tenderloin steak sandwiches on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings starting at 5 p.m. in the cocktail lounge.

Morton's specials include the Morton's Martini, a traditional vodka shaken, not stirred. Also served are the Martini Cosmopolitan, Chocolate Godiva and Appletini, all made with Finlandia, Skyy and Absolut Vodkas.

"Mortini Nights" continue through December. Call 949-1300.
