Workers dangling about 150 feet above the road at Makapuu watched yesterday as a large rock fell (below worker at left) after they dislodged it. They were clearing loose rocks off the mountainside. The road is closed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day, including weekends, as work continues. The project is scheduled for completion by Nov. 27.
