Woods tops field for
Grand Slam on Kauai

Star-Bulletin staff

If you didn't get a chance to see Tiger Woods play in last year's PGAGrand Slam of Golf on Kauai, no problem. The world's No. 1 golfer will be back for this year's Grand Slam event, which traditionally brings together the winners of the year's four major championships.

Woods, who won the Masters and U.S. Open, tops the field for the 36-hole competition, which is set for Nov. 26 and 27 at the Poipu Bay Golf Course. Joining him will be Rich Beem, Davis Love III and Justin Leonard. Beem qualified for the tournament by winning the PGAChampionship. Leonard gained entry as an alternate due to Woods winning two majors. Love was named to fill the last berth after Ernie Els, winner of the British Open, withdrew due to conflicts in his schedule.

Tickets are $10 for the Pro-Am, $20 for a daily pass or $40 for all three days.

Call 1-800-PGA-TCKT for more information on tickets.
