Hawaii's Andy Irons defeated Neco Padaratz of Brazil to win the Billabong Pro at Mundaka, Spain.

Irons, 24, avenged a loss at the hands of Padaratz 11 days ago.

Irons' second score of 8.75 was the best of the match, and his three-wave total was 22.75-points -- .75 ahead of Padaratz.

"He got me in the last one in the final five minutes, so payback is good," Irons said.

"It's been an incredible year and I never thought one would come together like this for me."
