‘Mongolian Tale’
pinch-hits

The Chinese film "Happy Times" will not be shown at the Doris Duke at the Academy as planned tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday.

The film has been held over at the Art House at Restaurant Row, so another Chinese film, "A Mongolian Tale," will be shown at 4 p.m. tomorrow and 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Doris Duke.

Directed in 1997 by Xie Fei, "A Mongolian Tale" takes place amid the bucolic grasslands of Inner Mongolia. The adaptation of Zhang Chen-zhi's novel "Black Steed" chronicles the undying love of a traveling troubadour for the woman he left behind. The film won medals for Best Director and Best Artistic Expression for Music at the Montreal World Film Festival.
