Keala Kennelly and Rochelle Ballard advanced in the Roxy Pro France yesterday at Hossegor, but Megan Abubo was upset by Heather Clark.

Kennelly beat Serena Brooke 13.75-11.9 and Ballard eliminated Kate Skarratt of Australia 14.75-9.5.

Hawaii's Megan Abubo, the winner of the last WCT in Portugal, was eliminated by Clark 16.5-15.25 when Clark scored an 8.5 on her final backhand ride and will now face giant killer Sofia Mulanovich, who upset Melanie Redman-Carr in the quarterfinals.

Troy Brooks scored the biggest upset in the men's event when he beat Shea Lopez.
