Moiliili festival
set for Saturday

Moiliili will celebrate its history and culture at its seventh annual Discover Moiliili Festival at Stadium Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The Moiliili Community Center-sponsored event features entertainment, food, children's activities, craft demonstrations and a Farmer's Market. "Celebrate Rice! Festival!" will be at the Japanese Cultural Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A photo collection of Moiliili's history will be at the Haunt at 2634 S. King St., the McCully-Moiliili Library and Cheapo Music & Books at Puck's Alley. Bus tours are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Obake Night and the "Scare Your Socks Off" ghost storytelling contest with Glen Grant is at 6 p.m. at the Church of the Crossroads.

Admission for Obake Night is $2 for adults and $1 for children under 12.

Parking is free at Kuhio School with free bus service to Stadium Park from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. or at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii for $2 all day.
