Beatrice Naleilehua Cockett Kahanu

Winifred Emily Armstrong, 68, of Freemont, Calif., died Wednesday. She was born in Honokaa, Hawaii. She is survived by husband Mickey L.; sister Molly Enos; brothers Sammy and Louie Vierra; children Pamela Scafidi, Farin Ocamb, Daphne Perucca and Mickey and Michael Armstrong; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Paterno Sibucao Barlongo, 83, of Hilo, a retired front-end loader tractor operator for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co., a former nurseryman for Matsuura Nursery and a former ranch hand for Parker Ranch, died Sept. 20 in the Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Crestita, daughter Judy Molina and brother Enrique S. Wake services: 7 p.m. Wednesday at Dodo Mortuary. Harry Jack Carroll, 84, of Keaau, Hawaii, a carpenter and World War II veteran, died Sept. 8 in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Stinton, Texas. He is survived by sister Dorothy Schwartz, hanai niece Jackie Benton, hanai grandniece Adrienne Benton, hanai grandnephew Keoki Scoggins, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cheryl Kahaunani Darlene Jordan, 57, of Puhi, Kauai, a schoolteacher with the Department of Education, died Monday at home. She was born in Honolulu. Kenneth J. Mitchell, 80, a retired employee of the U.S. Navy Public Works Center at Pearl Harbor, died Monday in St. Francis Hospice. He was born in Ohio.
