Surfers enjoyed a second day of what was probably the last big south swell of the season at Point Panic in Kewalo Basin yesterday. Riders continued to linger in the water well past sunset yesterday evening.

Lava continued to flow into the ocean at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island before dawn yesterday. This view is looking east from the entry point known as West Highcastle. The height of freely falling lava is about 3 to 5 yards.
