Vernon Correa, 81, of Kahului, an employee for Maui County and a World War II U.S. Army veteran, died Thursday at home. He was also known as "Coach" of baseball on Maui, and the Vernon A. Correa Baseball Park was named after him. He was born in Wailuku. He is survived by wife Haruko; daughters Diane and Gail Correa and Verna Paresa; brothers Walter, Frank, Gilbert and Alvin; and sister Constance Matias. Moriyoshi "Moro" Ganeko, 78, of Kekaha, Kauai, a retired irrigation superintendent for Kekaha Sugar and a member of the 442nd Combat Team, 82nd Air borne Division, died Sept. 6 in Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Waimea, Kauai. He is survived by wife Elaine S., son Baron, brother Gary and sister Lyn Nunn. Private services. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.

Kyoko Masumoto Hoyt, 78, of Honolulu, a retired housekeeper for Queen's Medical Center, died Tuesday in Queen's Medical Center. She was born in Japan. She is survived by daughter Naomi Agapay and brother Hirashi Masumoto. Services: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Casual attire.

Eliza Kahooululahuiokalani Irvine, 72, of Kaneohe, died Sept. 7 at home. He was born in Honolulu. Yoshio "Yoshi" Kawamoto, 78, of Waimea, Hawaii, a retired supervisor at Parker Ranch and a security officer for Safeguard Security Services in Waimea, died Tuesday in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Margaret, sons Robert and Alvin, daughter Gwen Takeguchi, brother Masatsu "Masa," sister Thelma Lewis and six grandchildren. Sebastian J. Vericella, 94, of Augusta, Ga., a retired employee of the Johnson Bronze Co., died Sept. 14 at home. He was born in Italy.
