Daisy Clarke Alexander, 94, of Haleiwa, a retired Haleiwa Elementary School teacher, died May 14 in Wahiawa General Hospital. She was born in Waialua. She is survived by son Edward "Buddy," daughters Jan Pollock and Joyce deHay, sister Laura Hind, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Rizalina Hernandez Alfaro, 75, of Honolulu died Thursday. She was born in the Philippines. She is survived by daughters Josefine Baum and Doreen Alfaro, son Albert, sisters Felisa Dela Rosa and Lilia Tongco, brother Benjamin Hernandez, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Amaldo "Mel" Delizo Askew, 41, of Ewa Beach died June 22. He was born in Ewa. Ella Fung Gin Ching Chung, 89, of Honolulu, retired from Dole Cannery, died Wednesday in St. Francis Hospice in Nuuanu. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by stepson William Jr.; stepdaughters Maryknoll and Wilma Spotkaeff and Dolly Alverio, Geraldine Grant, Linda Chock, Sarah Akiona and Trina Chung; sister Hazel Soon; brother Enloy Ching; 27 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Darrell Haruo Higa, 44, of Aiea, a lead guitarist for Renegade and an instructor for C.H.A.-3 Kenpo Karate Association, died June 23. He was born in Honolulu.
