WAIMEA, Hawaii >> Parker Ranch on the Big Island has announced the appointment of Gregory C. Chun to the new position of vice president of corporate services effective June 1.

Chun will be in charge of five divisions at the ranch, administration, accounting and finance, human resources, risk management, safety and security, and strategic planning.

A graduate of Kamehameha Schools, Chun holds a doctorate in clinical psychology earned at the University of Hawaii in 1994.

He is president of 'Iulu Consulting Group, an organizational development firm, and has served as a consultant to Parker for several month, chief operating officer David Houle said.

Chun is a former director of organizational development at Hawaiian Electric Co. and has worked in nonprofit community development, restoring traditional Hawaiian fishponds on Molokai.

Chun's appointment is part of the restructuring of the ranch, announced early this year, which included the appointment of Houle in March.

The ranch is owned by Parker Ranch Foundation Trust, which serves four charitable beneficiaries.
