Herbert Kalawaia Ah Nee Jr., 59, died May 8 in St. Francis Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by children Herbert III, Adrian, Doug, Dwayne and Jaime; sisters Lorraine Phillip and Gwen Martin; and 11 grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Jiro Arakaki, 80, of Hilo, a retired microbiologist for the state of Hawaii, died May 12 in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hakalau, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Lorraine, sister Janet T. Taba and sister-in-law Tsuruko. Private services.

Marcus Redford "Bags-Blue Donut" Colburn, 73, of Nanakuli, a retired Matson crane operator, died Saturday in Kaiser Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Theresa; sons Marcus, Chinnough and Robin "Bobby"; daughters Angelique "Angie" Ancheta, Phyllis "Bobo" Whaley, Louise "Luigi" Gusman and Billie Colburn; sisters Soonie Keolanui and Jackie Ching; 25 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Jerrell Charles Daniel, 50, of Halawa, Kohala, Hawaii, a maintenance manager at the Bay Club and a Maunaloa Resort manager, died Saturday in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Salt Lake City. He is survived by companion Kay L. Tucker, stepsons Jeremy and Brandon Toone, parents Charles and Mae, and brother Markle. Services: 10 a.m. Sunday at Keokea Beach Park. Graciano Palomar Elarco, 90, of Hawi, Hawaii, a retired cane truck driver for the former Kohala sugar plantation, died May 10 at home. James "Jamie" Thomas Hammer, 37, of Kahaluu, a former landscape engineer at Hilton Hawaiian Village and Greg Boyer-Hawaiian Landscapes Inc., died Sunday. He was born in Redford Township, Mich.
