Mike Wilton, coach of the Hawaii national championship men's volleyball team, said today he removed his name from consideration for the job opening at Brigham Young.

"I made my decision last night," Wilton said in a university release. "Just call it inspiration."

Wilton just completed his 10th year as UH's head coach and is the program's all-time career leader in wins, with a record of 200-87.

Hawaii's victory over Pepperdine on May 4 gave UH its first national championship in men's volleyball.
