Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday for the singer's critically acclaimed "Skin Tour."

Since 1983, Etheridge has been recognized as an insightful singer-songwriter. Her string of hits include "Come to my Window," "I'm the Only One," "I Want to Come Over" and "Nowhere to Go."

She won Grammy Awards in 1993 and 1995 for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance (with two more Grammy nominations in 2000); the 1997 ASCAP Pop Music Award for Songwriter of the Year; and the 1999 award for Best Blues Guitarist at the Gibson Awards.

Tickets for shows are $45 and $55 reserved. On Oahu, they will be available at the Blaisdell box office, and Ticket Plus outlets including Foodland and Sack 'N Save, the University of Hawaii Campus Center, MWR Kunia and other military outlets. In other concert news:

>> A Jimmy Buffett concert at Blaisdell Arena appears likely, according to sources. Buffett enjoys finishing his tours in Hawaii and after giving a free, intimate beach concert earlier this year, he told the Star-Bulletin he wanted to return for R 'n' R and a concert. Likely dates would be Oct. 11 and 12.

>> Of course, we announced last week that Concrete Blonde will bring the third leg of its Group Therapy tour to the World Cafe on June 21. Tickets, at $20, go on sale May 25. See our Web site at www.starbulletin.com/2002/05/13/features/stuffs.html for details.

>> And Grammy Award-winning pianist George Winston returns for concerts on three islands: July 10 at Kauai's Kilauea Theatre; July 12 at the MACC on Maui; and July 14 at Hawaii Theatre on Oahu.
