Campbell ties up
OIA West


Campbell moved into a tie for first place in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division girls basketball race with a 41-39 home win over Leilehua last night.

Jalen Garcia scored to put Campbell up 40-36 with a little over a minute left. Leilehua's Pikake Nutter-Gaudet hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to one.

Garcia made a free throw to give Campbell a 41-39 lead with 36 seconds left. Jasmine Lopez blocked Nutter-Gaudet's final 3-point attempt to end the game.

Both teams are 6-1 and share the division lead with Pearl City.
