Dancers from Puamana Hula Studio in Kailua were at the Edith Kanaka'ole Tennis Stadium today, practicing for the upcoming 39th Annual Merrie Monarch Festival. From left are Ihilani Anderson, Tammy Goodall and Kathy Villena-Medeins. Their kumu hula, Puluelo Park, 77, is celebrating her 50th anniversary of being a kumu hula. The Merrie Monarch competition begins tomorrow.
