State champion Raiders crack national ranking

After winning the state championship last month, Iolani broke into the Student Sports Inc. boys basketball rankings this week.

The Raiders made their debut ranked 15th in the West Region. Kalaheo, the state runner-up, is listed as "on the bubble."

Iolani went 15-0 in local competition this season, but its 61-59 loss to Fairfax (Los Angeles) in the Iolani Prep Classic in December also worked in its favor. Fairfax is ranked fourth in the region and 21st in the national Fab 50.
