Mixed messages
on car bumpers

While driving the other day, I came across an interesting pair of bumper stickers on the same car that presented somewhat of an oxymoron: "Assassinate terrorists" and "Jesus is my anchor in the storm."

Wasn't it Jesus who said to forgive your enemies? And isn't "Thou shalt not kill" one of the Ten Commandments?

While I certainly don't support the efforts of terrorists, I can't help but find it odd that someone who tries to make it known that he follows Jesus would in the same breath say he would go against his teachings.

After seeing those bumper stickers, another one I've seen came to mind: "Lord, save me from your followers."
