Freshman Shannion Tabion scattered nine hits for her first victory and Sheri Oronoz also tossed a complete game as Hawaii won twice on the first day of the San Diego State Aztec Invitational yesterday.

UH beat host San Diego State 4-3 and Missouri 3-1.

In the first inning against the Aztecs, freshman Tracie Uchima knocked in Natalie Gonzales, who opened the game with a triple.

The Wahine (3-3) scored a pair of unearned runs in the second and April Crowell plated Kate Judd with a single in the fourth.

Oronoz (2-1) gave up three runs on six hits, walking two and striking out two.

Stacie Hirano -- who was 5-for-6 in the two games --knocked in a run against the Tigers, and Judd and Stacey Porter also had RBIs to support Tabion (1-1).

The freshman righthander from Baldwin High School struck out five and walked two.

The game against Missouri was the first this season for Hawaii that wasn't decided by one run.
