A week full of Pro Bowl
activities starts Monday


A busy week of Pro Bowl activities starts on Monday with the Gatorade Junior Training Camp from 8:30-11:45 a.m. at Lanakila Elementary School.

Kapunahala Elementary School (Kaneohe) hosts the camp on Tuesday from 8:15-11:30 a.m.

The NFC practices at Aloha Stadium at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The AFC practices at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Admission is free.

Other activities on Wednesday include Gatorade Junior Training camps at Royal Elementary (Honolulu) from 8:15-11:30 a.m. and at Cooke Field from 3-3:30 p.m., and the NFL Alumni Legends Beach Bowl at Hilton Hawaiian Village/Fort DeRussy at 11 a.m.

Ahuimanu Elementary (Kaneohe) hosts a junior camp on Thursday from 8:10-11:30 a.m. The AFC practices at 10 a.m. at Aloha Stadium and fans can participate in the Topps NFL Experience at Fort DeRussy from noon to 9 p.m.

Other Thursday activities include the Beach Bowling Bash at 1 p.m. at Hilton Hawaiian Village Lagoon, the Cheerleading and Dance Competition at 2 p.m. at Fort DeRussy and the Pro Bowl Hawaiian Night from 7-9 p.m. at Fort DeRussy -- which includes the Topps Experience and entertainment from Sean Naauao, the Poi Pounders and The Brothers Cazimero.

The final junior camp is Friday at Kapolei Elementary, from 8:30-11:45 a.m. The NFC runs through its final practice on Friday at 10 a.m. and the Topps Experience continues at Fort DeRussy from 1-10 p.m.

Military Day and the NFL Military Challenge are scheduled at Fort DeRussy from 3-5:30 p.m. The final event of the day is the Friday Night Bash at Fort DeRussy, featuring entertainment by DisGuyz and appearances by pro players and cheerleaders.

There will be a Tailgate Party at Richardson Field on Saturday from 8:30-11 a.m.

Pregame festivities start on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. at Aloha Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m. There will be a Pro Bowl Postgame Block Party at 7 p.m. at Aloha Tower Marketplace.

Fans can enjoy the Topps Experience at Fort DeRussy on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

6 bouts scheduled for Tangle In The Tropics

The Tangle In The Tropics night of boxing on Tuesday features undefeated fighters Hurricain Sei Mailata and Ron Sims.

The fight card on Tuesday at the Hawaii Convention Center includes four undercard bouts before Mailata and Sims -- both 6-0 -- and Jerry Saribay (4-1) takes on Jerry Balagbagan (8-2).

The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Call Ticket Plus at 526-4400 for ticket information.
