The Walt Disney Co. ended fiscal 2001 with a loss of $158 million after taking a one-time charge of $1.45 billion stemming from the closing of its failed Go.com Internet portal, layoffs and the shuttering of some of its Disney Stores.

Eisner received an $11.5 million bonus in 2000 in light of the company's double-digit growth. In 1999, he and other executives received no bonuses after the company's profits dropped 28 percent from 1998.

Both Eisner and Iger received salaries of $1 million in 2001.
